Looking for a Sharp Payroll Administrator for Short-Term (3-4+ month) 1099 Contract to Cover a Leave of Absence.

Must be Proficient Using Ultipro Software & ProPay Payroll System – Location: Itasca IL

Fast growing technology company has an immediate need for a Payroll Administrator to be able to come on board immediately and fill in for a leave of absence. Our client is looking for someone with at least 3-5 years experience to join its Human Resources function in the Itasca, IL office.

Responsibilities may include the following:
• Process payroll to ensure efficient and accurate payment of wages
• Update records and process adjustments and corrections to employee information, new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions, status changes, tax changes, deductions, rate of pay changes, etc.
• Administer wages garnishments and child support payments
• Handle employment verifications
• Liaise with Accounts Payable and prepare manual checks when needed
• Balance payroll accounts by auditing information; identify and resolve discrepancies
• Generate monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports
• Assist PayPro in the preparation of federal and state payroll tax returns and deposits

Requirements:
• Three to five years of multi-state payroll administration experience
• Experience with ULTIPRO and PAYPRO REQUIRED
• Must be highly organized and detailed oriented
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
