			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Manager of Data Warehousing is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the applications and data that help the company become more knowledgeable about our products, customers, sales, etc. The scope of this position includes all Data Warehousing within the company. This position is a key leadership within the IT organization and the incumbent is expected to partner with business leaders across all business units, marketing and finance and create and execute a vision that helps us become a good example of an analytically driven company that makes decisions based on facts.</p>
<h2>Key Responsibilities:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Provide leadership to the EDW team – 5 onshore employees and 7 offshore contractors</li>
<li>Understand what metrics are important to our business</li>
<li>Understand business needs and create a data architecture / model vision</li>
<li>Partner with the business and provide clear visibility to the team in terms of project priorities</li>
<li>Execute and deliver on projects – dates, business benefits, costs</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other equivalent or related field. Advanced degree and/or certifications preferred</li>
<li>8-10 years of experience in IT with emphasis in EDW</li>
<li>Practical knowledge of EDW, specifically Business Objects</li>
<li>Experience in resource (people and capital) management, capacity planning, organizing and planning projects.</li>

<li>Manage overall integration of satellite communications into the company&#8217;s product offerings, including engineering, service development and program management.</li>
<li>Be responsible for research, analysis, design and system level operation of the satellite transmission system for air-to-ground communication, including space segment, terrestrial components and airborne components such as antenna, modem and other RF/system components.</li>
<li>Plan and implement technical aspects and identify metrics for installing and certifying equipment</li>
<li>Be responsible for capacity planning including procurement of space segment resources.</li>
<li>Be responsible for procurement of all antennas and terminal equipment to be installed</li>
<li>Be responsible for the design, procurement/lease and performance of the hub gateway facilities.</li>
<li>Manage a team of technical staff to support the above.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>BSEE or equivalent degree</li>
<li>Experience in the Satellite/RF Engineering field with a leadership role in product or service development</li>
<li>Experience developing technical specifications, test plans and procedures, and service level agreements</li>
<li>Experience in leading a team of engineers with responsibilities for vendor management, contracts, cost, schedule, processes and technology development</li>

<p>Requirements</p>
<p>5+ years of Java 1.6 application design and coding experience.</p>
<p>5+ years of PL/SQL application design and coding experience.</p>
<p>5+ years of ETL application design and coding experience.</p>
<p>Experience in building scalable, high performance applications in a Hadoop framework.</p>
<p>Experience with Subversion.</p>
<p>Experience with developing and executing unit test cases under the JUnit framework.</p>
<p>Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.</p>
<p>Working knowledge of JBoss SOA suite and Tomcat is a plus.</p>
<p>Working knowledge of Linux (RedHat) and Unix (Solaris 10).</p>
<p>Familiarity with Apache projects such as Lucene, CouchDB and Solr.</p>
<p>Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Hbase databases NICE but NOT req’d..</p>
<p>BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field.</p>
