Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with Product Management and development team to ensure testable user stories are created and estimated
•  Works with Product Management in determining acceptance criteria for user stories
•  Recommends test approach, test environment requirements and data strategies
•  Executing a testing process that fits within our Agile development life cycle
• Works closely with development team to identify and resolve issues
•  Analyze, design and maintain test artifacts
•  Create and/or set up test environments and test data
•  Develop and execute automated and manual tests

REQUIREMENTS:

•  BS in a technical discipline or
•  5+ years of test engineering experience
•  Deep knowledge of test methodologies and debugging
•  3 years of development and/or test automation experience
•  Excellent coding skills in C, C++, Java or Python with scripting skills in at least one common language (Perl, Python or Shell)
• Highly proficient in a Unix/Linux environment
•  Experience testing large structured data sets
•  Database/SQL experience (Oracle)
•  Performance testing a plus
•  Strong communication skills
•  Must be a team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment
•  Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle
•  Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
•  Creative, resourceful and innovative problem solver
•  Self-taught and self-teaching, with a demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills

•  Excellent knowledge and proven, multi-year experience in Agile/Lean development environments performing testing
