Data Architect
- Demonstrated senior level capabilities in conceptual analysis, problem solving, and data analysis.
- Work closely with Application Architecture team and design large scale database system using open source RDBMS with data shard to achieve high data throughput and fast response time.
- Assists in developing and publishing technical data architecture standards, policies and procedures, including the management and maintenance of related tools and environments for open source database
- Develop technical framework and guideline that will guide and used by development team
- Develop technical data and database architecture using open source database that will have high resiliency and support disaster recovery.
- Ability to work closely and effectively with various application development teams, product management, technical architects, and DBAs to ensure successful project delivery
- Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to team members
- Actively participate and provide support in integration, performance and functionality testing
Minimum 5+ years in technical experience using ProgreSQL for large scale database system
- Strong experience in MySQL or Oracle 11g and 10g
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL or equivalent.
- Experience H-BASE and Hypertable is a plus
- Minimum 7+ years in designing large scale database system that support multiple platforms and data sources integrations.
- Strong hands-on experience in large scale multi-site and multi-lingual OLTP system
- Strong experience with database performance tuning and code review
- Experience and good understanding in SOA architecture
- Experience coordinating information requirements of multiple projects, including assessment of usefulness, reliability and cleanliness of data from several sources.
- Ability to effectively present complex technical information to non-technical audiences and to senior decision-makers.
- Experience with IBM Rational Data Architect or CA ERWIN Data Modeler is a plus
- Experience with Agile development is a plus
- Strong SDLC knowledge, with excellent process and system documentation skills.
- Strong ability to identify risks and issues and escalate to project management. Ability to provide risk mitigation and issue resolution recommendations.
- Demonstrated success working in a team-based environment, working with business and technology.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Strong communication skills required; technical and business writing skills are required.
- BS degree in computer science or related technical field is required.
