Director of Engineering
This Director will have 3 direct reports and a team of 70. These teams will include the Process Team which is responsible for the validation, installation and support of the manufacturing equipment responsible for filling the syringes, etc. The 2nd group is the HVAC team which is responsible for the design and implementation of the HVAC systems that support this facility. The 3rd group is the maintenance & they are responsible for providing day to day support for the HVAC and the Injectible equipment; this includes maintenance, problem resolution, etc. Client is seeking a person that preferably has a technical undergrad to include a BS in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc with an MBA but the MBA is NOT required. In addition, the person must have a proven track record of providing leadership and setting direction while delivering on projects; managerial skills are a key component to this role. Lastly, we are seeking a person that has a strong engineering background within a pharmaceutical manufacturing env. This is NOT a manufacturing engineering role but rather more of process engineering and facilities engineering role. This person will manage the equipment that fills the devices as well as the HVAC systems that support the facility enabling Aseptic activities to occur within this highly controlled & regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
- 1. Pharma manufacturing facilities such as liquid filling products
- 2. Aseptic processes & environments
- 3. Process Engineering
- 4. GMP—good manufacturing processes
- 5. HVAC systems—boilers, chillers, clean rooms, etc.
- 6. Facilities engineering
- 7. FDA
