Human Resources Generalist, Chicago Loop

Responsibilities:
•Actively work with business leaders and employees to support client groups
•Address employee relations matters, investigate, where appropriate recommendations
•Provide coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution to employees and managers
•Educate managers and supervisors in performance management, training, and interpreting company policies and procedures
•Participate in or lead the development and implementation of policies, programs, and processes
•Initiates and forward all contractual documents to appropriate internal / external resources
•Plans and conducts new employee orientation for employees
•Participates in management training rotation
•Sponsor and coordinate employee events
Requirements:
•4+ years relevant work experience in Human Resources organization
•Bachelor’s degree required
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Experience dealing with employee relations issues
•Working knowledge of federal/state/local employment laws
•Strong project management experience
•Experience working in fast pace, high change environment
•Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization and follow up skills
•Strong presentation skills to effectively deliver training to all levels of employees
•Working knowledge of HRIS systems – HR PeopleSoft preferred
•Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
•HR certification – PHR or SPHR preferred
•Professional presence
