Human Resources Manager

Location: Ferdinand, Indiana

A Fortune 500 American Manufacturer seeks a Human Resources manager for its largest Distribution facility.

Position Summary

This position is located in Ferdinand, IN. The Human Resources Manager will direct and shape organizational structure by aligning human capital with the organization’s mission, vision and values.  The Human Resources Manager will drive organizational development by facilitating needs analysis, talent evaluation, planning and development.

Key Accountabilities 

  • The Manager will effectively manage business risk
  • The Manager will share in responsibility for improving and sustaining business results by ensuring HR strategies are translated into concrete actions and tangible results
  • As the HR-Business KPI owner; thw Manager will leverage data to drive business improvement
  • Align associates with the business mission, vision and values; employee relations champion
  • Shape organizational structure by aligning people and capabilities with business requirements and conditions
  • Implement position and competency frameworks
  • Monitor and foster talent development; facilitate planning, conduct training and measure effectiveness
  • Develop and administer reward systems that drive organizational goals
  • Plan for succession and identify the values, behaviors and skills required for current and future business needs
  • Enable a working environment where sharing knowledge and expertise is not inhibited
  • Monitor and provide excellent HR service delivery (timely, accurate, efficient and responsive)
  • Assist in development and delivery of HR process and systems training
  • Serve as general advisor on employment law and government regulations
  • Recruit, manage and continuously develop a world-class HR team
  • All other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion.

Education & Experience

  • BS in HR or related field; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Firm grasp of the fundamentals of HR Management; minimum of 5years relevant manufacturing experience; career advancement within at least one organization
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ownership of HR KPIs; using business, HR and safety data to drive continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated organizational development skills – developing and aligning structure, people, processes and reward systems with business objectives
  • Demonstrated problem solving and change management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in labor relations and communication programs
