Manager, External Reporting (Western Suburbs)

The Manager of External Reporting is responsible for the preparation of the Company’s financial statements to be used for external/regulatory purposes and for assisting with all facets of the Company’s external reporting requirements. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the research of new accounting and reporting policies, as well as supporting the creation of ad hoc analytical tools.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepares external financial statements as needed.

• Performs the financial statement consolidation on a monthly basis, including requisite elimination journal entries.

• Drafts all SEC filings, primarily Form 10-Q, and other external financial reporting documents.

• Completes and maintains support documentation for all SEC filings and assists in the external auditors’ quarterly and year-end reviews of all SEC filings.

• Completes the Form 10-Q and 10-K checklists including the procedures checklist, disclosure checklist, and general form checklist.

• Participates in establishing and maintaining corporate accounting policies that conform to GAAP.

• Assists in the research of new GAAP and SEC rues and regulations and assists in establishing procedures to ensure compliance by the Company.

• Develops ad hoc financial models and productivity analyses.

• Assists in the development of disclosure controls and methodology to ensure ongoing compliance.

• Prepares and distributes the quarterly debt compliance certificate.

• Completes the Company’s FINRA FOCUS filing on a monthly basis.

• Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

• CPA required.

• At least 8 years of related work experience with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting preferred.

• Must have excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and prepare financial reports.

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint; previous experience in Great Plains accounting software desired.
