Product Manager – Mobile Platforms (Linux / Windows)

Location: Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

Lead the product management for Linux and Windows Mobile Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Software Development Kits (SDKs) in close cooperation with the head of mobile services product management, product development, product marketing and sales
Draft key product management documents (functional, marketing and business) as part of a gated product management process
Gather and specify product requirements, documenting and communicating to the appropriate teams
Must be able to manage multiple projects with complex dependencies within a rapid development environment
Develop business models, strategic rationale, and interpret market signals that lead to product creation
Process input from customers, the developer community, and internal sources to provide clear product and project prioritization
Work with other product managers to create commonality and consistency across product offerings
Provide required support for sales: Customer meetings, RFP/RFQ response, closed loop inquiry support
Product life-cycle management
Monitoring of product updates and maintenance

Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering; MBA a plus
5+ years experience in mobile phone software product management or product development
Understanding of APIs, SDKs, and the needs of the development community
Excellent written and communications skills for multiple audiences
Must possess strong attention to detail and the capacity to work independently
Strong technical skills or experience in a technically complex product development environment
Results orientation as demonstrated by proven ability to meet short deadlines and execute against multiple competing priorities with little direct supervision
