RF Engineers on a 1099 6 month contract

I have a client that is located in the northwest suburbs that is seaching for (2-4 ) RF Engineers on a 6 month 1099 contract with heavy EVDO and CDMA experience. U.S Citizen or Green Card Holder Degreed and in the Chicago land area. NO RELOCATION

The RF Engineer will be responsible for the planning and RF Design of regional cellular networks including review of sectors for overarching problems and issues. – Must have strong RF Design and cell layout experience!

• Develop cell layout plans, interact with real estate specialists during site acquisition phases, establish technical parameters for new cell sites and assist zoning specialists during permitting phases;
• Conduct research projects to improve and standardize the design process used by the entire department. Interact with network performance, site construction, and real estate departments to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of network design practices.
• Conduct antenna system development, documentation, simulation and testing of air-to-ground communication antenna systems.
• Analysis of RF performance for antenna and RF systems.
• Receiver modeling, analysis and design.
• Perform link budget / analysis studies.
• Propagation prediction and measurement using propagation modeling software.
• Conducting data analysis of switch statistics.
• Interface with vendors and regions to facilitate technical implementations.
• Budget for regional capital requirements. Forecast usage data.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technology – advanced degree preferred.
• MUST have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an RF Engineer in the cellular or telecommunications industry.
• MUST HAVE technical competency in the following areas:
- Voice cells infrastructure (Lucent, Motorola, Nortel, CDMA, EVDO data)
- Wireless data service (CDPD, CDMA, CDS, STP and RF)
- System design (AMPS, CDMA, EVDO, CDPD, 3G)
• Understanding of electromagnetics/physics for the development of realizable antenna/RF designs.
• Demonstrated systems engineering capability in programs that encompass system architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operations.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills including technical documentation, written reports and proposals, development and delivery of presentations and the ability to listen to and communicate effectively with customers and vendors.
