Sr. QA Engineer
Job Summary:
Looking for an experienced Sr. Engineer who has strong computer science fundamentals, software system testing management experience and solid leadership and change management experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will be an innovative person with the right mix of technical and leadership skills who has good knowledge with all aspects of software development life cycle, from requirements to development to test to release to customer.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements review
- Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects
- Maintain and run tools and processes that support and automate software testing
- Deploy the testing artifacts for review and approval
- Enforce process compliance
- Create and execute approved test plans and analyzes and report results
- Decompose requirements for testability and provide feedback to the requirement gathering process
- Interact with customers/users to support software acceptance process and act as a liaison between development and user community
- Investigate and report problems
- Setup and maintain a testing environment that mirrors the production environment
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems
- Must have strong experience in XML, XSD, Jboss, Java/J2EE, Linux/UNIX, SQL, SOAP, Functional and Automated Testing
- Ideal candidate will also possess experience in ClearQuest, Jira, JMeter, Shell Scripting and LDAP
- Experience with SOAtest a plus
- Proficient in one programming or shell language (Java preferred)
- Proficient in one operating system (Unix, Linux preferred)
- Proficient in one Configuration Management tool (e.g., ClearCase, Subversion, CVS)
