Trading Systems Operations Specialist
Ensure availability of all production Trading System Components. Perform system monitoring, data management, release and configuration management, and take ownership of Chronic System problems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overnight enterprise level system monitoring and support for proprietary trading systems.
- Administrate and provide 1st level support of 3rd party platforms (TT, Thomson, Activ, Orc)
- -Provide application and IT Infrastructure support including incident, problem, request, and change management.
- Document all incidents for report generation summarizing incidents for trend analysis and root cause determination.
- Deploy, Configure, and verify proprietary trading software releases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and work experience required.
- Experience working in the financial industry, preferably a trading firm, exchange or trading industry vendor.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Previous experience developing or supporting electronic trading systems preferred
- Perl, VBA, PHP, or other scripting language or similar programming language exposure a plus
- Windows and/or Linux based system administration experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills
